Clear, practical and thorough child occupational therapy assessment and support at home and in schools.

Are you in need of an EHC assessment, sensory or other type of children’s occupational therapy assessment or intervention? Red House Occupational Therapy will provide you with what you need. Take a look at our recent Testimonials.

Your child may have sensory processing difficulties, difficulties with general coordination or fine motor skills; or maybe you are concerned about disorganisation, handwriting or dressing. We help unpick these difficulties and provide you, your child or your child’s school with strategies to help and for your child to learn. We see children in their schools or homes.

  • We use warmth and expert experience to interact with your child to help them participate in the activities they find difficult.

  • We provide advice as we assess, helping you to understand the possible reasons for your child’s difficulties.

  • We coach you, your child or your child’s school to help you learn the skills that occupational therapy can bring. Our aim is to address your worries.

  • Our reports are easy to understand and provide all the information needed for schools and EHC assessments or reviews.

We can help with

Dyspraxia assessment: We can provide an assessment for the possibility of developmental coordination disorder (commonly known as dyspraxia). In line with good practice, this report would then need to be passed to a community paediatrician to help inform diagnosis.

EHC needs assessments:
For parents, local authorities and the NHS, we provide quality child occupational therapy assessments and reports in a timely manner and have extensive experience in this area.

SEND needs and support: We provide advice, support and training for handwriting sessions, sensory interventions, fine motor skills and daily activities for either individual children - or across whole settings (schools or early years). This is available to parents, local authorities and the NHS.

Sensory needs: We can assess and coach you, your child or your child’s school on how to manage your child’s sensory needs – and provide expert assessment and advice on a range of activities that your child may find difficult.
